Our Process
Phase 1 - Introductory Meeting
I'll meet you at your home to discuss your project and listen to your needs. I'll share some ideas and we'll brainstorm options. We'll also talk about timing, high level budgets and the pros and cons of the different options. If the fit feels right, we'll sign a contract and the detailed planning phase begins. Here's what to expect in this phase:

Phase 2 - Planning
This is when the work begins. We get clear on a detailed scope of the work and agree the budget and timeline. I partner with a team of license and bonded contractors, so you don't have to hunt and select good people. You can feel rest assured as I brief them and oversee the quality of their work. Here's what to expect in this phase:
- Write a detailed Scope of Work
- Draw a layout diagram with measurements
- Prepare a budget estimate, based on quality of finishes
- Brief contractors on-site
- Create a time plan and schedule
- Review all findings with you and agree to move to the next phase
Phase 3 - Design and Finishes
The fun part of the project begins! We work together to agree the 'mood board' for your project and start to shop for the finishes and products. You will also benefit from my industry discounts on some products and finishes:
- Select color palette
- Visit showrooms to shop finishes - cabinetry; hardware; tile; flooring
- Use Pinterest and Houzz to share ideas
- Order cabinetry and other materials that requires a long lead-in time
- Shop for all other products required for the project
- Manage the ongoing budget
Phase 4 - Bringing It All Together
The installation begins. We start with demolition and get prepared for all the contractors during this process. Depending on the scope of work, permits maybe required and inspections maybe necessary. Here are some things that will happen in the process depending on the extent of work:
- Demolition
- Sub-contractors rough-in for plumbing, electrical/HVAC etc.
- Repair sheetrock and texture
- Install or refinish cabinetry
- Template for countertops
- Install flooring; countertops; tile
- Paint
- Sub-contractor install finishes - plumbing fixtures; lights and more
- Review quality of work and create a punch list
- Finalize completed budget
